by Leslie Jacobs

I’m going to call this my lost year and forget the vitriol. Things I’ve learned in 2020- The internet is more important than heat, but only in the summer months.
Snickers barks because he wants something; and walking around the house and looking for it has been my job. Now, I know-he just wants to sit on my lap and sleep.
Three more weeks to be safe after the J&J vaccine-and then the shrieks of laughter will be heard. I’m with my family-who are my friends.

GRATEFULLY

by Leslie Jacobs

Two days ago I received my J&J shot. I had more of a reaction to my flu shot this year then I did to the vaccine for Covid. The lines at xfinity theater were organized and so professional. I was told I may have to get a booster shot-but I don’t care. In 4 weeks I can hug!

Its snowing Again

I love living in Connecticut but the snow gets to be a little much. I’m so blessed my jobs are WFH so I get to stay inside. What a wonderful way to live. I’m so grateful to my neighbors for digging me out. This is a photo of them shot through my screen door of them. What a wonderful family they are!

In just a few hours…

2020 will be gone. Thank Goodness! I’ve survived this year because of you and Snickers and being grateful for everything. Thank you for reading my musings. For all of you: A photo of Snickers in his favorite position.

Snickers waking up from a nap. He, like all of us are grateful for everything and know 2021 will be great! Happy New Year!

only Positive Thoughts

In Connecticut we had 10 inches of the white stuff yesterday. My neighbors (one who is working from home) on his lunch break plowed my sidewalks. Our mayor makes sure all sidewalks are cleaned soon after the snow stops. My other neighbor who also does my lawn does my driveway. I am so thankful for them. I’m very blessed with my neighbors!

Pain-what do you do?

by Leslie Jacobs

Three years ago in a car accident on RT 9 I hurt my back. After 9 months of therapy I was told to give up my organizing business Les Is More. I cried from the back pain and the lack of self esteem I knew I’d lose.

Everyday is some twinge, cramp and sharp jab that takes my breath away. But, I’m still here.
Thank you CT for allowing medical marijuana. Because I smoke, I don’t need opioids for pain. I only take my depression and thyroid pills.
Although, I’d prefer edibles.
Another year and that sector will explode hopefully. For now, it’s honey in my tea and vaping.
stay safe wear a mask we love you as Seth Meyers signs off nightly. Thanks Seth.

Wear the damn mask!

by Leslie Jacobs

I’m so grateful to my Governor for mandating masks. With neighbors and friends giving me very cute masks -love wearing them. I’m blessed to have them all. Yes, the friends. And the masks. 😂😂
